Oops, I forgot my lunch money.
Charge Policy
Students and adults are encouraged to pay
in advance for food purchases. Any student who forgets or loses his/her
money may charge a maximum dollar equivalent of two (2) paid breakfasts
and two (2) paid lunches. If payment for charges is not received the
next school day, a nutritious snack (fruits & Vegetables), but not a full meal, will be provided
to the student. Only reimbursable meals may be charged.
Adults will pay for meals in advance or at
the time of purchase. There are no provisions for adult charges.
What am I allowed to take as a
meal?

vs. serve provision allows our customers to choose 3 or 4 of the 4 food
items offered at breakfast.
The components of breakfast are:
- fruit (or vegetable) or full strength
juice
- 8 oz fluid milk
- bread
- bread or meat/meal alternate
Lunch: The offer
vs. serve provision allows our customers to choose3, 4 or all 5 of the
components offered at lunch.
The components of lunch are:
- meat/ meal alternate
- vegetable and/or fruit
- vegetable and/or fruit
- bread/bread alternate
- 8 oz fluid milk
The established selling price must be
charged if the student selects the minimum number of
components. No one component (e.g., milk) is required to be selected
by the student. The student has the freedom of making their own choices.
How does my student meal account
work?
Account Deposits
All students have personal accounts
regardless of paying status (free, reduced, or full pay).
Deposits in any amount may be made to a
student's personal account, thus reducing the chance that breakfast or
lunch money will be forgotten, lost, or stolen. Deposits may be made
during breakfast or lunch meal service.
Students will use their student numbers to
debit purchases from their accounts. While students still have the option
of paying as they go through the line, advance payment will speed
transactions allowing lines to move more quickly and affording more time
for eating their meal. If you wish your child to purchase only full meals
(no extra items) from their account, please email Ms
Arnold or call 381-3115.
Refunds from accounts are allowed only when
a student leaves Fayette County Public Schools and is issued as a check
through Food Service Office. Refunds cannot be made at the school
level.
School staff members are encouraged to open
accounts for their food purchases, also.
Email Ms.
Arnold with questions and/or comments.
